Courses in French for adults
Tesl language school in Lugano offers a wide variety of French courses for adults. We offer courses aimed at passing DELF/DALF exams and other types of exams or to the improvement of conversational skills in French. We also offer practical courses where we train the ability to express oneself in specific contexts such as work, study or travel abroad.
There are many reasons to study French and our teachers never forget to take into account the specific needs of each individual student.
Our method
Our French lessons are particularly varied, as moments of work with the whole class are alternated with individual work, in pairs, and in small groups; In all our French courses we use the communicative method, which includes simulations of situations that frequently occur in real life. We use certified native or native level teachers, who work with small groups of 3 to 8 students. A language assessment is given to specify the level achieved and to recommend the DELF/DALF exam most appropriate for each individual pupil. At the end of all French courses, an attestation of attendance.
For those who feel the need for an even more personalised and intense language course, we offer private lessons (for 1 person) and semi-private lessons (for 2 people). These courses make it possible to increase one’s knowledge and command of the language in an even shorter period of time and guarantee that you will be supervised exclusively by the teacher for the duration of the course.
For many years, our teachers have successfully accompanied people of all ages in passing their French exams. We have gained solid experience in the field of preparation for French language examinations, including the DELF/DALF certification.

For many adults it can be difficult to make an annual commitment, so we offer packages of 10 or 20 lessons that allow a considerable flexibility in managing the lesson calendar. DELF/DALF exam preparation
The French language certifications DELF/DALF are issued by the French Ministry of National Education and subject to the authority of a specific National Commission at France Éducation International, are offered in more than 160 countries and rely on a network of more than 1,000 examination centres worldwide.

DELF/DALF Certifications
The DELF/DALF certifications have no expiry date, are adapted to the levels of language proficiency defined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, constitute a tool for enhancing individual academic paths and encourage student and professional mobility.
Since 1985, France has offered two diplomas of French language proficiency for foreign nationals, the DELF (Diplôme d’Etudes de langue française) and the DALF (Diplôme approfondi de langue française).
Recognised by the Italian Ministry of Education, DELF and DALF diplomas are awarded worldwide by the French Ministry of National Education to certify the French language skills of foreign candidates.
The DELF and DALF are composed of 6 independent diplomas, of progressive difficulty, corresponding to the 6 levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) produced by the Council of Europe.
There are 4 diplomas for the DELF and 2 for the DALF, which can be obtained separately from each other, even in different examination centres.
The DELF and DALF consist of 4 tests that assess the 4 competences: listening comprehension and oral expression, reading comprehension and written expression; The subjects of these diplomas are suitable for an adult audience;
DELF and DALF diplomas are unlimited in validity and internationally recognised.
Obtaining language certification for the French language is important because:
