Humboldt-Institut Cologne

Cologne is situated on the banks of the Rhine and, with more than 1 million inhabitants, is the fourth largest city in Germany. The imposing Cologne Cathedral, the largest Gothic church in northern Europe, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and emblem of the city.

Cologne is known for its welcoming and cosmopolitan spirit. In summer, the city hosts countless concerts, theatre performances, musicals and open-air events, and the banks of the Rhine invite you to take long walks or bike rides or relax with a boat ride.

The school is located in the Cologne-Deutz boarding house on the right bank of the Rhine, not far from the central station. Our centre has modern, high-quality equipment and, although it is centrally located, is situated in a quiet area. German courses in Cologne take place in spacious, bright classrooms, all equipped with the latest technology. Since our students are housed within the same building, the classrooms are easily and immediately accessible and there is no need to go outside to access them.
